This is my first experience writing a blog and I am very excited to write this. The tales of the sacrifice and courage of the Indian National Army makes our chests swell with pride and our eyes moist with sentiment. They beat the cold and heat so we can all live in peace and tranquility. The stories of their bravery and valor should not be remembered for only a single day, but they should always be cherished in our hearts forever. Life in the armed forces is as distinguished as it can be. When they are protecting our country’s borders at a temperature of -50 degrees Celsius at 16000 feet above sea level at the Siachen glacier or battling the temperature of 50 degrees in the blistering heat of Rajasthan, they are not doing it for themselves but for their country and its citizens.
Thousands of soldiers have given up their lives defending our country. Each one of them deserves our respect. Listing every act of their bravery would be a humongous task, but this August 15th lets us reminisce a few of the countless milestones our soldiers have achieved.
Let every Indian soldier remember the inspiring message of one of the ablest leaders of India, Sardar Patel: - “The deeds of gallantry you performed in the two great wars adorn the pages of world history. Even the enemy recognized your merit in war. You proved yourself first-class soldiers, inferior to none in the world. But then you fought for others. Now you must fight for your own country, your beloved India. You should prepare yourself for the responsibility which will continue to increase. We have won freedom. It is for you to guard it. You must make an all-round effort to maintain and consolidate it. Let the discharge of your duties be your privilege. You will enhance the reputation of your country and the country will be proud of you."
Life of a soldier works on the theme of “Nation First”. He sacrifices his life for the protection of the nation’s pride. He is a true patriot and is always ready to lay down his life in the service of motherland. A soldier is an unsung hero who remains in the shadows and plays out a part that is not seen but only felt. Our nation’s safety is dependent on our soldiers. Their life is not a bed of roses but is a life full of overcoming challenging situations. For them, the country’s security is their priority. Indian Army not only fights in the war but also takes care of the rescue operations in the aftermath of natural calamities and civil unrests. A writer, teacher, engineer and doctors perform their respective duties according to their abilities, but the role played by a soldier is over and above all. They live for others and our country is their one big family. The courage, spirit of comradeship and brotherhood, irrespective of religion, caste and creed, inculcates this strength to face bullets head on, embracing death to become immortal for all time defines the soldiers of Indian Army. Every Indian must foster a positive and heroic notion for our national heroes and respect their sacrificing work.
We all experience the great sacrifice which our Indian Army does every single day to keep our country and its borders safe. We all salute our Indian Army and pay homage to the supreme sacrifice which our Army brothers are doing every day.
